SDR Transceiver

I recently bought a secondhand SDR transceiver that uses Flex PowerSDR.
I have often looked at the Flex transceivers but could never afford one but this one for sale intrigued me. Its was advertised as "10 watt TX sdr By Dean Brice G0UIL (its an updated one of the set he won the RSGB Constructors competition in 2018/19 ) all in a nice black alloy enclosure complete with XONAR-U5 soundcard all cables,CD, set-up manual & Yaesu MH-31 microphone works with Power SDR 2.8.0"

After a bit of a learning curve and a call from Dean by Team viewer (how many inventors or companies would do that!) To say i was impressed is an understatement.
Dean started by installing the latest Powersdr by KE9NS which is well explained here.

As the SDR emulates the SDR1000 by Flex there is a modified version on this site so that is the one to download (latest version being 2.8.0.163.1 That version has all the latest add on items that KE9NS Powersdr has.
The video i have made is im afraid amateurish but it gives an idea what it actually is and does.

If your thinking of buying one of these please contact Dean to discuss it, they are a fraction of the cost of Flex radio's
Please mention you have seen my video.

There is an excellent video showing the softrock version which is also the set up for this machine and worth following, please note its an earlier version but identical in set up, this video was created by M0CRT. Video link here:www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNJ6q60swq0
